We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Autism Mentor to join our team at Beacon Support Ltd. Our organization is dedicated to providing exceptional support services to Higher Education students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

About the Role:

  • As a Specialist Autism Mentor, you will work closely with students to develop coping strategies and techniques to overcome their disability-related difficulties.
  • You will provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to build on their strengths and avoid negativity.
  • Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of our students.

Requirements:

  • A degree at minimum, with comprehensive training in adult autism.
  • Experience of working with students in higher or further education is preferred.
  • Relevant training in autism, such as NAS 6 modules and SPELL course, is essential.
