Job Title: Employment Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Employment Advisor to join our team at PeoplePlus. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting participants to achieve their employment goals and overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify participants' goals, aspirations, and barriers to employment, and develop tailored solutions to address these challenges.
  • Work closely with participants to develop and implement effective job search strategies, build their confidence, and empower them to achieve their employment objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers, internal and external contacts, to secure job opportunities and facilitate a smooth transition into employment.
  • Accurately record and review participant details and requirements, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse participants, networks, and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Confidence in assessing, mentoring, motivating, and coaching individuals to achieve their best.
  • Strong administration skills, with proficiency in computer technology and basic numeracy.
  • Previous experience working with the unemployed or recently employed, supporting individuals with various barriers to employment, is highly desirable.
