Job Title: Employment Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at PeoplePlus. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals to achieve their employment goals and overcome barriers to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify participants' goals, aspirations, and barriers to employment, and develop personalized plans to address these challenges.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to participants, helping them to develop their job search skills, strategy, empowerment, and confidence.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers, identifying opportunities for participants and facilitating a smooth transition into employment.
  • Accurately record and review participant details and requirements, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of participants and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Confidence in assessing, mentoring, motivating, and coaching individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong administration skills, with good computer and technology skills, basic numeracy, and record-keeping ability.
  • Previous experience working with the unemployed or recently employed, supporting individuals with a range of barriers to work, is highly desirable.

What We Offer:

We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working arrangements, including the option to work a 4-day week with condensed hours. All flexible working options will be discussed further at the interview stage.
