Audit & Accounts Manager Job Description

TPF Recruitment is currently supporting a leading chartered accountancy practice in Tonbridge, Kent, who are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Manager on a permanent, full-time, or part-time basis. Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Lead large and complex assignments, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Review statutory accounts preparation and corporate tax computations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
  • Deliver the audit file to partners in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points, contributing to the growth and success of the practice.
  • Manage client communication effectively, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets proactively, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Coach and develop junior staff, contributing to their technical development and career progression.
  • Mentor audit and accounts trainees, contributing to the training and development program.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience, or qualified by experience.
  • Ability to apply audit standards through practical application.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Practical knowledge of the preparation of group accounts.
  • Experience of both not-for-profit clients and corporate clients would be advantageous.
