Temporary Contract Opportunity

We are currently looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to fill a temporary position in St Helens. This role requires someone with extensive experience in working with children and families who require support due to various reasons such as Child in Need (CIN) or Child Protection (CP).

About Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for managing a caseload of 20-24 children, which includes attending meetings, conducting assessments, and creating action plans.
  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with colleagues, including advanced practitioners and managers, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
  • The role involves performing 37 hours of work per week, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of the service.

Your Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A recognized degree in social work, such as a DipSW or CQSW.
  • A valid driving license and current DBS clearance are necessary for this position.
  • Membership with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is also required.
