Dental Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Consultant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a first-class clinical service to patients, ensuring high-quality care and treatment.
- Lead and manage a team of dental professionals, providing effective leadership and guidance.
- Develop and implement teaching and research programs in conjunction with King's College London and other partners.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Trust procedures and policies.
- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and Trust service plans.
- Maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies for the specialty, Care Group, or Trust.
- Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent Masters qualification in a relevant clinical discipline.
- Full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC).
- On the GDC Specialist List in Restorative Dentistry or within six months of eligibility for inclusion.
- Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent.
- Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Restorative Dentistry.
- Successful completion of an SAC approved five-year minimum training program in Restorative Dentistry, or within six months of completion, or equivalent.
- Experience in day-to-day organization of Restorative services in a busy Teaching Hospital.
- Familiarity with information technology and general computer skills.
- Familiar with current structure of UK National Health Service and conversant with recent initiatives and changes.
- Able to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Management course and/or qualification.
- Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit.
- Must have undertaken and completed audit projects.
- Experience of clinical research.
- Publication of relevant review articles or case reports.
- Relevant research experience in one or more aspects of restorative dentistry.
- Experience of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and exam preparation at an appropriate level.
- Teaching skills course/qualification.
