Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and optimizing manufacturing operations to meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead and support waste / defect reduction activities to improve productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Support the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage and maintain data using a structured approach to inform process improvements
- Lead practical problem-solving exercises with multi-functional teams
- Develop and implement process controls and process capability based on critical manufacturing processes
Requirements:
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
- Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
- BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree
- Strong Manufacturing & Warehousing background
- Awareness of supply chain goods receiving practices
- Understanding of MRP & Just in Time principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence teams outside of your direct reporting structure
- The ability to form and maintain productive, working relationships across functions
- Experience in the use & understanding of Lean manufacturing & Six sigma methodologies
- Experience in the use & understanding of CI & Quality tools
- Leading practical problem-solving exercises with multi-functional teams
- The ability to produce, maintain and interpret data using a structured approach
- Manage projects and or improvement from 'cradle to grave'
- Experience in the use & understanding of Lean manufacturing systems tools and techniques & Minitab software
- Having a sound understanding of manufacturing, Logistical and engineering processes
