About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive reception and administration services within our primary care setting, supporting the partnership and associated clerical and medical staff.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional reception and administration services, including the receipt of telephone calls and practice visitors, and responding to their needs in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Utilizing SystmOne GP clinical system, including prescription generation, online services, medical record management, and other software in use within the practice.
  • Maintaining the security of equipment, premises, information, drugs, and consumable items, as required.
  • Managing waiting patients and visitors, and maintaining orderliness within the surgery.
  • Following health and safety working practices and contributing to the development of administration processes and guidelines.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience working with SystmOne.
  • Knowledge of health and safety awareness and confidentiality protocols.
