About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Director to join our team at Willis Towers Watson. As a key member of our UK P&C Consulting Practice, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions to enable insurers to get real value from capital modelling, feeding into business and capital strategy, reinsurance purchase, and portfolio management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement efficient capital modelling processes that respond to business needs, ensuring seamless integration with our clients' operations.
  2. Support our C-Suite clients in gaining genuine insight and value from capital modelling, driving informed decision-making and strategic growth.
  3. Lead sales activity for our Igloo and related technology and consulting solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  4. Lead client engagements, building strong relationships with senior client contacts and delivering high-quality project execution.
  5. Leverage your market knowledge to develop cutting-edge solutions for capital modelling and management, collaborating with various teams from across Willis Towers Watson.
  6. Design sophisticated MI and capital management capabilities, driving business value and client success.

Your Key Challenges

  1. Build a market profile as a representative and advocate of Willis Towers Watson capital modelling consulting services and software tools, establishing thought leadership and credibility.
  2. Develop a trusted advisor relationship with senior client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects.
  3. Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client's broader business issues, driving collaboration and cross-functional success.
  4. Demonstrate commitment to Willis Towers Watson professional standards in managing analyses and in communications with clients, upholding our reputation for excellence.

Thought Leadership and Innovation

  1. Lead or contribute to the development of the company's intellectual capital, including plans for taking this to market in relation to the effective use of capital modelling in a business.
  2. Establish and enhance a public reputation in a chosen specialism through the production of articles and presentations, showcasing your expertise and thought leadership.

Financial and Business Development

  1. Meet goals for sales and intellectual capital development, driving revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  2. Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the economic value of our offerings and driving business success.
  3. Use contacts within our current network to obtain introductions to new contacts, working to develop supporters for our products and services.

People and Collaboration

  1. Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and success.
  2. Serve as a manager or mentor to more junior colleagues, developing their skills and expertise.

The Requirements

  1. Relevant experience in a capital modelling/management role in an insurance firm or consultancy, with a strong understanding of capital modelling platforms.
  2. Experience in selling consulting and/or technology solutions to insurance firms, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
  3. An advocate for the use of capital modelling in a business and the adoption of new techniques, with a strong passion for innovation and creativity.
  4. Knowledge of the main capital modelling platforms, with experience of Igloo software preferred.
  5. A track record in innovation and creativity delivering realized revenue enhancements, with strong analytical and creative skills.
  6. Strong interpersonal and team skills, with a self-starter attitude and ability to work within ambiguity.
  7. Availability to travel on an as-needed basis, domestically and internationally, with a commitment to upholding our company values and professional standards.
