Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop their skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to children, young people, and their families. They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, provide clinical supervision, and contribute to service development and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including neuropsychological evaluations and formulation of complex mental health problems
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapies and techniques
  • Provide regular clinical supervision to junior psychology staff and doctoral trainees
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and policy implementation
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a good honors degree in Psychology and a postgraduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent). They should also have substantial post-qualification experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, as well as training or experience in clinical supervision, psychological assessment, and intervention with complex mental health presentations.

Salary and Benefits
