Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills within a large teaching hospital, working as part of a fully integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team alongside speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians and therapy assistants.

The post will be rotational across inpatient services, including opportunities to gain dysphagia experience on our acute surgical and medical wards. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within our specialist centres, including Major trauma and the newly formed North Mersey Stroke service.

We offer excellent clinical and professional supervision, with access to dysphagia training in line with the RCSLT competency framework. The successful candidate will be supported with ongoing development in complex communication and dysphagia, with personal development plans adapted according to experience.

Job responsibilities

* Work as part of a fully integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team
* Develop a range of skills within a large teaching hospital
* Gain dysphagia experience on our acute surgical and medical wards
* Work within our specialist centres, including Major trauma and the newly formed North Mersey Stroke service
* Participate in dysphagia training in line with the RCSLT competency framework
