Job Title: Cloud-Based Application Manager

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a skilled Web Applications Manager. The successful candidate will lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of web applications, leveraging their expertise in .NET technologies and Microsoft Azure platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and managing web applications, particularly C#, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC. They should also possess a proven track record of leading full lifecycle development projects from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of web application projects
  • Oversee design, development, and deployment of .NET and Azure-based applications
  • Manage and optimise Azure deployments for scalability and security
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of web applications
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards for quality assurance
  • Manage the web applications team, including performance and development

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems and make informed judgement to formulate solutions
  • Ability to think strategically while leading teams to deliver results across multiple complex projects
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, especially in the context of cloud-based applications
  • Knowledge of integrating and using Azure services like Power BI for reporting and analytics
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience
