Job Title: Passenger Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Passenger Assistant to join our team at Belmont Recruitment. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people with complex needs during their journeys to and from educational establishments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist children and young people with specific and complex needs during their journeys, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Be aware of the individual needs of each child or young person, including mobility issues, visual or hearing impairments, or learning and behavioral difficulties.
  • Ensure the safe handover of children and young people to authorized school staff or parents and carers at designated times and places.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families, providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience of supervising children in a paid or unpaid capacity.
  • Ability to relate to pupils with complex and individual needs, ensuring their needs are met and respected.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
