Our programme of work is expected to be in the region of £280M, and we are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to the success of our projects. As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from design to delivery, and will be responsible for ensuring that our designs are cost-effective, meet the requirements of the specification, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain design layouts that are cost-effective and meet the requirements of the specification.
  • Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
  • Maintain competitiveness and provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
  • Assist in developing procedures and processes and monitor and review their effectiveness.
  • Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department.
  • Ensure coordination of designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment.
  • Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assure customer satisfaction and work within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Maintain a personal development plan and assist in supervising and developing staff.
  • Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
  • Ensure designs take account of environmental issues and health and safety requirements.
