Job Title: Principal Civil Engineer

MWH Treatment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in the Essex & Suffolk region. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for water and wastewater schemes, working closely with our Regional Discipline Lead - Civil and Senior Design Manager.

Our programme of work is expected to be in the region of £280M, and we are looking for someone who can lead by example, providing expertise and guidance to our team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-effective design layouts that meet project specifications and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure standard practices are utilised wherever possible, maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department, assisting in developing and monitoring procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate designs with all other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Assure customer satisfaction, maintaining a personal development plan and assisting in supervising and developing staff.
  • Reduce waste to a minimum from all departmental activities and ensure designs take account of environmental issues and health and safety requirements.
