Job Title: Principal Civil Engineer

MWH Treatment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in the Essex & Suffolk region. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for water and wastewater schemes, working closely with our Regional Discipline Lead - Civil and Senior Design Manager.

We are looking for a talented engineer who can lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior team members while maintaining a strong focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost-effective design solutions that meet the requirements of the specification and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible, maintaining competitiveness and providing estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Work closely with other disciplines internal and external to MWH Treatment to ensure that design processes are coordinated for the benefit of the contract as a whole.
  • Assure customer satisfaction by working within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives.
  • Develop and maintain efficient procedures to aid the smooth running of the department, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and reducing waste to a minimum from all departmental activities.
