About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our contract work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process emergency payments and individual assistance grant applications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage and process data in a fast-paced office environment, ensuring accurate data recording and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Liaise with applicants to process information into the DAF solution, undertaking eligibility checks and seeking information directly from the applicant.
  • Comply with Processing Services Customer Charter when dealing with all incoming and outbound calls, providing excellent customer service in both English and Welsh.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve targets set by the Service Manager, dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to Local Welfare Provision.
  • Deal with and respond to enquiries from clients, citizens, and internal colleagues in a positive and professional manner.
  • Act as a key deliverer of the DAF contract, ensuring the successful delivery of our services.
Requirements
  • Welsh Language speaker - Conversional level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
