Field Service Engineer

Join MacStaff as a Field Service Engineer and take on a challenging role in the Bury St Edmunds region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining heavy plant equipment for a reputable UK machinery firm. The company is a leader in earthmoving and recycling equipment and is known for its ambitious growth and great employer reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake field service, maintenance, and repair of heavy plant equipment, including wheeled loaders, excavators, and track loaders.
  • Liaise with the service team and technical support to solve problems and order parts.
  • Travel to and work at customer sites, resolving problems and ensuring equipment is running efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of heavy plant equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Competent with reading and understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Apprentice NVQ level 3 plant maintenance or similar qualification.
  • Quarry passport and Passport to Safety.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive rates of £17-£22 per hour, with a salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum.
