About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Projects Engineer to join our team at MacStaff. As a key member of our Building Services department, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services projects from our Bristol/SW office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the delivery of mechanical HVAC multifaceted systems within commercial, hi-rise residential, and industrial buildings.
  • Design and Development: Develop system specifications, prepare and oversee construction drawings and documentation, and coordinate/integrate contractors and subcontractors.
  • Cost Management: Manage whole contract costs from inception to final account, including preparing and agreeing Monthly Application for Payments.
  • Site Management: Conduct site visits and inspections, attend Client and Subcontractor meetings, and organise services commissioning and start-up of new systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients and training, and stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technologies.
Requirements
  • Education: HND/HNC or Bachelor's degree in HVAC mechanical engineering or a related field involving physics and thermodynamics.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the design and construction of Mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC principles and practices, experience with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
