Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Internal Audit Leader to join our team in London, UK.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned auditor to lead internal audits, providing independent assurance and advice to improve our control environment and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting audits in accordance with Liberty Global's internal audit methodology.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality audit work on time, adhering to Liberty Global's internal audit methodology.
  • Work independently, with support from the Audit Manager or Lead Auditor, as needed.
  • Lead assignments, coordinating teams of auditors and co-sourced resources to complete audits according to agreed plans.
  • Perform detailed planning, including risk assessments for business areas or processes under review.
  • Communicate effectively with auditee management throughout the audit, keeping them informed of progress and agreeing findings and management action plans.
  • Assist the Audit Manager in drafting the audit report.
  • Participate in update and closing meetings with management.
  • Carry out quarterly follow-up of previous recommendations and prepare summary progress updates.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A professionally-qualified accounting or auditing background from a top firm or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in risk-based auditing and risk management.
  • Audit experience in the technology, media, or telecoms sectors is desirable.
