Workshop Controller Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Halfords. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the smooth running of our Workshop team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and our team members are motivated and empowered to deliver their best work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise a team of technicians to drive performance and delivery
  • Develop and implement technical training programs to enhance colleague skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards
  • Manage labour force scheduling and optimize time management
  • Hold daily huddles to update colleagues on commercial priorities and customer expectations
Requirements:
  • Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard or equivalent time served
  • Experience of managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery
  • Excellent customer approach and ability to communicate clearly and simply to customers
  • Experience of developing colleagues through delivery of technical training
  • Experience of exceeding customer metrics and working with management to support key metrics and KPIs
