Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Manager in Residential Childcare
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a Residential Childcare setting. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our service users.
About the Role
- Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users, promoting their independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
- Lead shifts and conduct staff supervisions, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and other domestic duties.
- Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date, ensuring the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, promoting a safe and secure environment for all.
About You
- You hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare, or are willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
- You have at least 1 year supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
- You have knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes, with the ability to support the manager to achieve a rating of outstanding.
- You have knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
