About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dame's Assistant to provide exceptional pastoral support to students and contribute to the smooth operation of the House. As a key member of the House team, you will work closely with the Dame to ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and community within the House.
  • Supervise laundry and Messing Teas, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
  • Assist the Dame with general health and wellbeing of pupils, liaising with School medical staff as needed.
  • Escort pupils to appointments and provide support during medical emergencies.
  • Support the Dame and House Master at functions and events.
  • Undertake administration tasks as required, liaising with central school teams where necessary.
  • Ensure all relevant information is communicated to the Dame and that child protection procedures are adhered to.

Requirements

  • Flexible approach to work and a 'can do' attitude.
  • High standard of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work using your own initiative and take direction from the Dame and House Master.
  • Confidence in your own abilities and ability to deal with challenging situations.
  • Previous experience of handling administration and good computer skills.
