About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Dame's Assistant at Eton College. As a key member of our house staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the Dame with the pastoral care of students, ensuring their health, wellbeing, and happiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop positive relationships with students and support their transition to life at Eton
  • Supervise laundry, messing teas, and other household tasks
  • Assist the Dame with general health and wellbeing of pupils, including liaison with school medical staff
  • Escort pupils to appointments and respond to medical emergencies
  • Support the Dame and House Master at functions and events
  • Undertake administration tasks as required for the effective functioning of the house
Requirements
  • Flexible approach to work and a 'can do' attitude
  • High standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to nurture good working relationships with other departments
  • Previous experience of working in a pastoral role for children or young adults
  • Awareness of the Children's Act and Safeguarding and Child Protection
