We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Handler to join our dynamic team at Lockton. As a key member of our Cargo & Logistics Claims team, you will be responsible for handling complex claims related to cargo, commodity trading, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of claims, from first advice to final settlement, using Lockton's internal claims systems and external tools.
- Negotiate with insurers and clients to resolve claims efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, providing regular claims reports and managing insurer relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in marine cargo claims handling.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in marine cargo claims handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence.
- Strong knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
