SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This role involves supporting children with special needs on various levels of the autistic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with special needs in 1:1 settings or small groups, promoting their physical, social, and emotional welfare.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication to effectively interact with children and colleagues.
  • Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in any capacity.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance on the update service or willingness to process a new one.
  • Living in Brent or within a commutable distance.
  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
