Job Description

As a Process Operations Specialist at Saur EUROPE, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the mechanical, electrical, instrument, and process assets associated with the Effluent Treatment Plant on a client site.

The role involves utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for onsite maintenance, monitoring the plant, and implementing operational changes as required. You will also prepare the plant for Planned & Corrective Maintenance tasks, perform analytical testing, and input data onto a computer-based system to monitor and record plant performance.

In addition, the role requires carrying out complex maintenance of equipment, such as cleaning/calibration of process instruments, servicing pumps, replacing valves as necessary, and ensuring the process assets are maintained in good condition.

You will form part of a team framework to assist in operating the assets at optimum performance at all times, ensuring safe & seamless operation of the ETP in accordance with regulatory consent without interruption to customers' production activities.

The job involves working on a standby rota for responding to plant alarms and process monitoring out of normal working hours and weekends.

A full process training will be provided to the successful candidate; however, it is expected that the candidate will already have demonstrable experience in operating and maintaining industrial equipment.

  • Work within the client and NSI HSE systems.
  • Visible ownership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation and within NSI.
  • Procure external supplies/services.
  • Promptly raise any issues which could affect both the client and NSI.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer personnel, NSI colleagues, and subcontractor staff.
  • Proactively managing external relationships with the client, subcontractors, and regulators (if required).
  • Innovate in the workplace to bring improvement and opportunity.
  • Identify faults, evaluate solutions, and implement agreed actions.
  • Gather all systems information and complete plant logs to understand the function and operation of the ETP on the site.
