We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Health Budgets Advisor to join our team at Core Arts. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our Personal Health Budgets (PHBs) brokerage service in East London.
Key Responsibilities- PHB Referral Processing: Process PHB referrals efficiently, ensuring requests are person-centred and recovery-focused, outlining personalized recovery goals and plans.
- Support and Guidance: Offer support and guidance to clinicians on personalized support and how to make referrals to the PHB service, utilizing effective communication channels.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver training in partnership with ELFT to clinicians about PHBs and how to make referrals, as well as hold awareness sessions to raise the profile of PHBs.
- Referral Streamlining: Ensure that the referral process is streamlined, and each stage of a PHB is communicated to ensure responsive budgets to referrals.
- Case Management: Monitor the online platform Patients Know Best (PKB) for any queries from budget holders about their PHB and keep accurate and up-to-date records of PHBs on the case management system.
- Financial Management: Work with the finance team to ensure PHB funds are released quickly and accurately, and risks are identified and managed appropriately.
- Case Stories: Collect case stories to raise the profile of PHBs and demonstrate the impact of the service.
- Team Collaboration: Work as a team to ensure all referrals are responded to and feedback around approval or process are communicated effectively.
- Core Arts Values: Work to our mission, vision, and values, participating in team meetings and training, and contributing to personal, team, and organizational development.
- Database Management: Input and use the database to its fullest to ensure monitoring and reporting is accurate.
- Policies and Procedures: Keep to our policies, including health & safety, safeguarding, and risk regulations.
- Additional Tasks: Carry out other projects and tasks as needed.
- Personalized Care: A good understanding of personalized care and its impact on health and wellbeing.
- Mental Health Experience: Experience of working with people with mental health issues and an understanding of the difficulties they face.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and IT skills, including database experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of communicating with a wide variety of people.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify areas for improvement and problem-solve with the PHB team.
- Guidance and Training: Ability to guide others and relay accurate and useful information to referrers and in training environments.
- Case Management System: Experience of using and managing a case management system.
- Direct Payments: Experience and understanding of direct payments or personal health budgets.
- Mental Health Services: Knowledge of mental health services, including current issues in policy and practice.
