Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Specialist to join our team based in South Wales. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will involve working with disabled children and their families, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social care, ideally with experience of working with disabled children. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of each child and developing personalized plans to support them. This will involve working closely with other professionals, such as teachers and healthcare workers, to ensure that the child receives the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of disabled children and develop personalized plans to support them
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure that the child receives the best possible care
  • Provide emotional and practical support to families who are caring for a disabled child
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the lives of disabled children

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience of working with disabled children
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
