Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified social worker to join our Child Care Experienced Team in Bridgend. As a senior social worker, you will be responsible for working independently on complex and high-risk cases, providing supervision to students, and supporting other staff with students on placement.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months' experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker, a relevant Social Work Qualification, and registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England. You will also need to have an enhanced DBS, be registered on the update service, or be happy to apply for a DBS.

In this role, you will be working predominantly with children care experienced, either in foster placement, residential, or placed at home with parents under a Care Order. You will be required to complete joint work with less experienced staff or other colleagues in highly complex cases involving the liberty or safety of service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently on complex and high-risk cases
  • Provide supervision to students and support other staff with students on placement
  • Complete joint work with less experienced staff or other colleagues in highly complex cases
  • Organise and plan duty rotas as required
