Supervising Social Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Supervising Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Key Responsibilities- Support foster parents and their families to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
- Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they meet the standards expected.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, working in partnership to identify needs and develop strategies for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the social work team to ensure each child and foster parent are fully compliant with key documentation.
- Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams to address individual packages of care.
- Promote participation of children and young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local community.
- A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work Wales or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in sometimes stressful situations.
- A full driving licence is essential.
