About the Role

Julius Rutherfoord & Co is a leading B2B contract cleaning company based in London, specialising in providing high-quality cleaning services to commercial facilities. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our people-focused commercial cleaning business.

Job Purpose

The HR Manager will be aligned with JR's mission, core values, policies, and procedures, and will be responsible for instilling these into the business operations. We want to ensure we have the highest quality workforce that feels valued, fairly treated, and optimally structured to deliver a best-in-class service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnering – identifying and creating the HR priorities with functional leads to support our significant growth agenda.
  • Lead and manage key HR projects that support the Business and HR strategy.
  • Ensure there is a close link between the Payroll and HR Department.
  • Advises and coaches on employee relations, grievance, disciplinary, restructures, performance management, policies, and procedures, escalating to the HR Director for high-risk or highly complex cases.
  • Manage TUPE transfers, ensuring that the HR Officer is following all legal requirements, and the process is managed in a compliant manner.
  • Provide guidance to the members of the HR Department on ER matters.
  • Liaise with external HR consultants on higher-level HR queries and any tribunal claims.
  • Liaise with the Home Office, solicitors, DBS, and unions where required.
  • Support the HR Director in updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Recruitment – support with all head office recruitment, including the creation of interview questions and participation in interviews.
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
  • Help to develop the capability of Line Managers within the organisation.
  • Support the HR Director with any HR reporting or projects.
Requirements
  • Previous experience within an HR environment, particularly with complex Employee Relations.
  • Excellent IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of other languages such as Spanish/Portuguese is an advantage but not essential.
