Job Title: Assistant Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable function as part of the Finance Shared Services function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage creditors of disbursements
  • Process transactions in a timely manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Allocate work across the team and serve as the first point of contact
  • Work with relevant departments to review and implement new processes
  • Approve annual leave in line with company policy
  • Manage absences and AWOL
  • Ensure team members are up to date with mandatory training
  • Review and manage payment runs
  • Review team work to ensure accuracy
  • Take accountability for own and team responsibilities
  • Ensure tasks are completed in line with SRA and audit standards
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required

About You:

  • Excellent Excel and reporting skills
  • Accounts experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively
  • Setting realistic deadlines and contingency plans
