About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team at Accounts and Legal. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing Xero training, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing financial guidance and support
  • Deliver Xero training to clients, ensuring they are equipped to manage their finances effectively
  • Prepare and assist with client cashflow forecasting sessions, helping them make informed financial decisions
  • Contribute to the preparation of management accounts and assist with client calls, providing expert financial advice
  • Report to a manager and contribute to team profitability, driving business growth
  • Help train and develop junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise
  • Drive technology adoption with clients, utilizing apps such as Dext Prepare and Precision, Futrli, Syft, Stripe, A2X, and Harvest
  • Be comfortable selling new services to clients, preparing proposals and delivering presentations
  • Answer technical bookkeeping questions from clients and colleagues, providing expert guidance
  • Prepare year-end accounts for review, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare VAT returns and create Loom videos to explain them to clients
  • Contribute to client quarterly catch-up calls, providing regular financial updates
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure client deadlines are met

Requirements

  • 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices

Location: Hybrid remote in Liverpool
