Are you a dedicated and passionate Autism Specialist Teacher looking for a new challenge? This role offers the opportunity to work with children who have Autism in a welcoming SEND school in Colchester.

About the Role

This SEN Teacher position is on a 6-month fixed-term contract, starting immediately. You will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored learning plans for children with Autism, working closely with support staff to provide a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to the individual needs of students with Autism.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure a smooth and supportive classroom environment.
  • Utilize creative teaching methods to engage students with varying needs and abilities.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure pupils' progress.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with Autism, ideally within a specialist setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
