Job Title: Education Support Specialist

Salary: £20,348.40 per annum, term time only.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Specialist to join our team at Doucecroft School, a specialist co-educational school for children and young people with autism and additional complex needs.

Your key responsibilities will include providing direct support to students in their learning environment, both individually and in groups, and participating in a wide range of classroom and physical activities to contribute to lessons.

You will have the opportunity to gain excellent on-the-job training and continued professional development, support, and supervision from our experienced team.

In this role, you will also support the class teacher in planning and preparing for educational visits and school journeys, and comply with and promote the school's policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above.
  • Relevant experience working with students with autism or learning disabilities is highly advantageous.
  • Driving license is highly desirable.
