Role Overview

The role of Delivery Lead at Barclays is a critical position that requires a high level of expertise in managing change projects within a large and complex organization. The successful candidate will have experience in development and management of project plans, communication with stakeholders, and project risk management. Key responsibilities include managing change projects, developing and managing project plans, and communicating with stakeholders. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing project teams, ensuring they are properly resourced and have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in Financial Services and experience in developing solutions for Small Medium Enterprise Businesses and Large Corporates. The role will be based out of our Northampton location.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage change projects within the organization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring they are properly resourced and have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
  • Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organization.

  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
