Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Hexcel Corporation in Duxford, UK. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing indirect external spend, leading supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the sourcing of indirect external spend for the EAP region, ensuring maximum value and alignment with Hexcel's growth initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve optimal results.
- Evaluate total cost and quality of indirect materials and services across various categories, making recommendations for improvement.
- Procure critical indirect materials and services to meet production and capital project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of leading procurement category strategies, identifying opportunities to leverage company-wide spend.
- Lead complex negotiations and represent the procurement team in site-level negotiations, managing high-stakes discussions with suppliers.
- Continuously improve costs and terms of purchase, leading the development and deployment of standard sourcing processes.
Requirements:
- University degree in science, engineering, economics, or business.
- Experience in purchasing, finance, supply chain, or sourcing.
- Leadership qualities, dynamic, and self-motivated.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix organization.
- ERP system experience in finance and/or procurement/supply chain areas (Microsoft platforms, SAP, etc).
