About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Hexcel Corporation in Duxford, UK. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing indirect external spend, leading supplier relationships, and driving cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sourcing of indirect external spend for the EAP region, ensuring maximum value and alignment with Hexcel's growth initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend best options for indirect materials and services, considering total cost and quality across various categories.
  • Procure critical indirect materials and services to meet production, maintenance, and capital project requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of leading procurement category strategies, identifying opportunities to leverage company-wide spend.
  • Lead complex negotiations and represent the procurement team in site-level negotiations, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Continuously improve costs and terms of purchase, leading the development and deployment of standard sourcing processes.

Requirements:

  • University degree in science, engineering, economics, or business.
  • Experience in purchasing, finance, supply chain, or sourcing.
  • Leadership qualities, dynamic, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix organization.
  • ERP system experience in finance and/or procurement/supply chain areas (Microsoft platforms, SAP, etc).
