Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Staff member to join our Child Health Team on a 6-month Secondment/Fixed Term basis. As part of the Community Child Health Team, you will provide administrative support to medical and nursing staff within the care group.

Your main duties will include providing effective administrative and clerical support to enable provision of Child Health and School Health Services to the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).

You will undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required, assuming responsibility for your own work with the ability to organise and prioritise workload.

About the Position

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be working closely with the School Nursing Team to provide services to the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

The post holder will require standard keyboard skills to access and update the National Child Health computer system.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to medical and nursing staff
  • Undertake general administrative and clerical duties
  • Organise and prioritise workload

Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Good standard of general education or equivalent experience, skills and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of administrative systems, admission, patient information systems, hospital departments, clerical / office procedures, data input procedures acquired through on-the-job training.
  • General interest in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office and various databases.
Aptitudes and Abilities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deal with people, face to face and over the telephone.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Ability to speak Welsh.
