Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our team at Amazon Data Services UK Limited - E17. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, working closely with our Engineering Operations Team to maintain 100% availability of our mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility
  2. Provide assistance to contractor or data center engineers to ensure proper operation, maintenance of all facility equipment and building racks
  3. Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring System
  4. Ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our Data Centers
  5. Install new rack equipment
  6. Decommission existing racks
  7. Assist root cause analysis of equipment failures
  8. Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
  9. Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent education
  2. 18 years or older
  3. Experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Has taken or is interested in STEM or vocational course curriculum related to electrical or mechanical field
  2. Knowledge of generic mechanical-room infrastructure such as chillers, Cooler Units, and fan controls
  3. Knowledge of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and power distribution panels
