About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Education Learning Support Officer to join our team as a full-time Therapeutic Support Assistant in Hove. As a Therapeutic Support Assistant, you will work collaboratively with special needs class teachers and the therapeutic support team manager to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Your key responsibilities will include creating conditions necessary for learning to take place, adapting the learning environment and teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, and promoting engagement in learning and teaching. You will also be responsible for growing your understanding of each child's emotional and social difficulties and needs, and those of the class group as a whole.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in residential child care or social care. A reasonable understanding of current child care legislation, cost awareness, and efficiency are also essential requirements. Additionally, a relevant qualification in child care & education provision and a full driving license are highly desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,048 per annum (based on 38.75 hours per week) and a range of benefits, including opportunities for additional duties and bonus payments, company-paid sickness allowance, and an employee group healthcare scheme. Our training package worth up to £3,500 per employee provides ongoing professional development opportunities.
