Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Projects Design Engineer for our Glasgow office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing projects, establishing client briefs, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans, and agreeing deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of engineering principles and design software. You will also be responsible for monitoring engineering/CAD resource requirements, carrying out engineering concept design, tender, and contract on-site supervision to completion, and ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines are achieved.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will provide positive contributions to design/project meetings, maintain regular in-house design reviews and checks, and liaise with the design team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, consistent, and of high quality.

You will also be responsible for supporting other departments, including Sustainability and Technical Management, managing and participating in a program of site inspections and Building Service audits, monitoring and controlling project progress, design variations, and project financial budgets, and maintaining excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary of around £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals.
