We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, the largest independent consulting engineering firm of its kind. As part of our diverse and talented team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and deliver innovative design solutions that respond to client needs and vision.

As an electrical services design expert, you will work on a varied portfolio of projects across key sectors, with opportunities to lead electrical services design on large projects and overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects within the office.

You will be responsible for dealing successfully with clients and other professionals, managing and prioritizing project workload, and contributing to the professional development of individual team members. Your excellent technical knowledge in electrical design engineering and thorough understanding of building services engineering will enable you to provide high-quality solutions and ensure quality standards and technical accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent technical knowledge in electrical design engineering and thorough understanding of building services engineering.
  • Previous consultancy experience, appreciating the importance of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modeling.
  • Able to lead small to medium-sized projects and take a brief from the project lead on large projects, delivering and controlling tasks required.
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs and appreciation of client needs, with ability to face clients.
  • Ideal candidate has Chartered engineer status or is working towards it.
