Senior Design Engineer - Job Description

About the Role:

Kier Professional Services (KPS) is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for a range of construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Temporary Works design and checking for projects across various sectors.
  • Delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's reputation and competitive position.
  • Tender stage support and bid-winning assistance, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Technical assessment and review of third-party designs to ensure compliance with the brief.
  • Manage and mentor junior KPS staff to develop their skills and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer status or willingness to become chartered.
  • Experience in Temporary Works Design or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence.
