About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of innovative and technically excellent design solutions. You will work closely with our experienced engineers to develop and deliver coordinated, collaborative, and innovative design solutions that respond to our clients' brief and vision.



Your Key Responsibilities

  • Designing mechanical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages.
  • Leading mechanical services design on large projects and taking overall lead on small to medium-sized projects within the office.
  • Working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UK and Internationally.
  • Developing initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
  • Taking responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work either alone or as part of a team.
  • Engaging with junior support staff in their day-to-day activities and offering advice and guidance to ensure that they develop their skills.
  • Monitoring fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered, and identifying new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research.
  • Maintaining a high reputation within the local industry and ensuring adherence to QM and risk control procedures.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment with excellent communication skills and a team-based work approach.
  • A strong understanding of building services engineering principles and practices.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
