About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our CIO and Change Risk Management Team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our CIOs to operate and execute effective controls and make informed risk-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform risk and control assessments to inform strategic change decision making
  • Analyse incidents and loss events to identify root causes and opportunities for control improvements
  • Support CIOs to ensure that they operate technology and deliver change in a way that keeps Nationwide and its customers safe
  • Work closely with Platform Managers, Engineers, Architects, IT Service Managers, Product Owners, and Programme Managers to operate technology and deliver change
Requirements
  • Proven knowledge of the risks arising from Technology, Information Security, Data, Cloud, and Transformation
  • Working experience in the management of risk & controls for Systems, Platforms, and Change Delivery
  • Demonstrable experience in risk management, controls assessment, and risk reporting in complex environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship management, and influencing skills
  • Possess an industry-recognised professional qualification relevant to the role
