Office Angels has a vacancy for a Budgeting Specialist to work at our Lydd, Kent site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for projects, working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, Draughtsmen, and other team members. This role requires a strong understanding of construction projects and related cost factors, as well as proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. We offer a competitive salary of £60,250 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Estimate costs for construction projects, considering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  2. Work closely with team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  3. Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns.
  4. Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  5. Update cost databases and records of past project performances.
  6. Track project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets.

  • Strong understanding of construction projects and related cost factors.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
