Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Procurement and Cost Management Professional to join our team at Re:Gen Group in Sunderland. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in refurbishment or construction projects. A strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT, is essential. Excellent negotiation and cost management skills are also required, as well as effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of all financial aspects of assigned projects
  • Preparation, submission, and management of accurate valuations and applications for payment
  • Assessment and processing of subcontractor claims and valuations
  • Cost control and monitoring to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Management of variations and production of cost reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and providing contractual advice as needed
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to programme requirements and quality standards
  • Production and analysis of project costings, budgets, and forecasts
  • Attending client meetings and supporting the team in building and maintaining strong client relationships

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in refurbishment or construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT
  • Excellent negotiation and cost management skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per annum, depending on experience
