At Essential Employment, we are seeking a Building Control Senior Surveyor to join our team. This is a full-time temporary position based in Bury.

The successful candidate will have a salary of £21,980 per annum, paid on a weekly basis at £420 per week.

This role involves ensuring that all building works comply with Building Regulations and current legislation. The candidate will provide advice to developers and contractors, liaise with relevant organisations, and conduct site meetings and inspections.

In this position, you will maintain computerised records of inspections, investigate complaints from members of the public and staff, and respond to emergency situations relating to dangerous structures.

You will also investigate complaints regarding non-compliance with Building Regulations and enforce compliance through negotiation or prosecution.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring building works comply with regulations and current legislation
  2. Liaising with relevant organisations and conducting site meetings and inspections
  3. Maintaining computerised records of inspections
  4. Investigating complaints and enforcing compliance
